English premier league Post Match Review

A great week for the EPL lovers. Many goals were scored and almost each match got results except for two matches. There were as many as 19 goals scored this Saturday and more expected on Sunday. The matches that were played on Saturday were:-

Arsenal 1 - 1 Liverpool

Arsenal and Liverpool have had yet another 1-1 draw. It was a good game and more important one for Liverpool. It seems that Liverpool are going tot win the battle for the fourth position in the league. Arsenal seems to have lost their good touch with just one win in their last six matches. They were at the first position and this bad run has taken down to third position. The goal scorers of the match were Bendtner and Crouch.

Aston Villa 4 - 0 Bolton

It was a great win and a more important one for Aston Villa. This must have given the confidence back. After quite a lot of matches they have maintained a clean sheet. No other than the man in great form, Gareth Barry has scored 2 out of four goals with the other two goals has a assisting contribution in the name of Gareth Barry. He was the man of the match for them.

BlackBurn 1 - 1 Tottenham

This was not that important match because no one were in the top eight position. A match between two mid table teams which ended in a draw. Gamst Pederson and Berbatov were the goal scorer for the match.

Fulham 1 - 3 Sunderland

A great match for the team who is looking now quite out of relegation zone. It was a great match for the away team Sunderland. They showed quite a matured game. They played brilliant football. Jones, Collins and Chopra the super-sub scored goals for them. On the other hand Fulham are still in the relagation zone and it seems that they are going to be relegated from the EPL.

Man City 0 - 2 Chelsea

It was a rather expected result with Chelsea already beating them in home match with a devastating 6-0. Man city are out of form since their last matches. They are regularly loosing matches now. There was a time when it wa looking as if they are going to finish in the top eight positions. But now it looks as if they are going to be out of top eight positions. Chelsea are looking very strong to win the English Premier League.Lets wait and see whether they will overtake man United or not.

Newcastle United 3 - 0 Reading

This was a match between two teams from the middle of the table. It was great match for the home team. They beat the visitors with three goals to nil with their all three forwards in the scoring list. A goal a piece scored by Viduka, Martins and Owen.

Wigan 2 - 0 Birmingham

This was also a match from the bottom half of the league table where it was not as much important match. It was a much expected result from Wigan winning the game by 2 -0 especilly when they are in a much better form. Both the goals were scored by their defender Taylor.

Prevent sensitive posts from Search Engine Indexing - Robots.txt

Hi friends , here i am going to give some tips to prevent your sensitive parts of your website from the search engine indexing. Some times you don’t want some sensitive posts to index in search engine indexing. You can prevent by using robots.txt….You guys can also avoid duplication penalties from search engines by using this robots.txt effectively.

robots.txt is a plain text file. The path of the robots.txt file should be as follows:

http://www.example.com/robots.txt

(or)

http://blog.example.com/robots.txt

syntax of Robots.txt file:

If you want to allow all Robots to index all your pages then include this Robots.txt file:

User-agent: *
Disallow:

Here User-agent means all Robots visiting your site to crawl the pages.

If you want to ban all Robots from indexing your site then include this Robots.txt file:

User-agent: *
Disallow: /

To ban specific Robot from indexing pages, include code like:

User-agent: Googlebot
Disallow: /

To ban some web pages like /Category directory with all sub pages:

User-agent: *
Disallow: /Category/

To allow only specific Robots to index your pages:

User-agent: Googlebot
Disallow:

User-agent: *
Disallow: /

Here you can make one mistake. Do not add specific robot ban after Disallow:/ i.e

User-agent: *
Disallow: /

User-agent: Googlebot
Disallow:

Will ban all Robots including Googlebot from indexing your web site.

Many sites have duplicate content penalties. If same content is accessible from two or more different url’s then it’s said to be duplicate content. If you have /category or /Archive directories then you have chance of having duplicate content penalty. Either show posts excerpt on Category and Archive pages or use robots.txt to ban indexing these pages. Then your Robots.txt file will be look like this:

User-agent: *
Disallow: /category/
Disallow: /archives/

Hope this tips will help you guys…. Thanks for visited this site.

World’s Largest Robotic Vehicle

The largest truck in the world is about to become the largest robotic vehicle in the world. Computer scientists from Carnegie Mellon University have teamed up with engineers from Caterpillar to automate the 700-ton trucks, which are made to haul loads up to 240 tons from mines.

That’s nearly two million pounds of metal, fuel and stone powered by a 3,550-horsepower, 24-valve engine moving at up to 42 miles per hour, with software and a robot at the wheel.

“Autonomous vehicle technology is pretty much in its infancy,” said Tony Stentz, a professor at CMU involved in the project. Stentz expects that over the next five to 10 years, the technology will expand to areas beyond mining, eventually finding its way into consumer cars and trucks.

Flying Alarm Clock

Technology is developing day by day , there are so many great things have invented. But some of the inventions are grazy , i can say that , those inventions are lazy inventions. But in some conditions , these lazy inventions also get marks. One of those kind of invention is “Flying Alarm Clock”. Some of us , wish to start a day in a grazy or diffeent mannar . I think , for those people this types of flying alarm clock invented. The Flying Alarm Clock wakes you up with a loud shrieking alarm coupled with a little propeller-driven key that leaps off your nightstand. To turn off the horrible racket, you have to get out of bed and retrieve the key. The propeller flies the key high into the air and off into some dusty corner. You have to force your sleep addled brain into wakefulness, move your stiff legs and retrieve the key before the alarm goes off. I hope , this article will entertain you.

Nokia E91 Preview

The best possible match I can see for the E91 is the phone codenamed Eitri which is due for internal release in week 17 of 2009 (Mid April). This is a landscape candybar with QWERTY, 3.5-inch 640×350 display, minimum 8GB ROM, microSD, pressure sensitive touch UI with tactile feedback and gestures, charging via USB, 5MP AF camera with dual LED flash, integrated compass and accelerometer, proximity sensor, FM transmitter.

Some pretty impressive specs there. While it may only be a small thing I am impressed that Nokia have FINALLY decided to go with USB charging. It may not be the E91 as there is no mention of dual screens, and the screen is actually smaller than the current internal screen with a 3.5-inch 640×350 display compared to the current 4 inch 800 x 352 display. However this could indicate they are releasing a smaller version giving it more mass appeal.

Hotels with Latest Technology tools

Hotels are under such pressure to keep up with their gadget-obsessed guests that they are working with technology companies to regain their edge. Sheraton teamed with Microsoft to create its new Link@Sheraton lounges, as part of an overhaul of the brand that includes carving out spaces in lobbies where guests can use public computers to check their e-mail, print boarding passes and record video greetings to send to family and friends. Westin struck a deal with Nintendo to outfit some of its fitness centers with Wii consoles and games like Wii Fit, a game that uses a balance board to guide players through exercises and yoga poses.

Even smaller brands are turning to technology leaders to equip their public spaces and guestrooms with the latest electronics. The Gansevoort Hotel Group is working with Sony to develop a lounge at its new Gansevoort South property in Miami Beach. The goal is to relocate the traditional business center to a more social setting near the lobby. The lounge will have Sony computers and PlayStation 3 game consoles as well as digital book readers and cameras.

Death race movie review

<!–

–>

Death-Race-Review.jpgThanks for checking out our Death Race Review. If you’d like to see the video version of our Death Race review, you can check it out at the bottom of our written version.

There used to be a plethora of legitimate big screen action heroes for us to go and idolize on Saturday afternoons. Jean Claude, Sylvester, Arnold, Segal and a handful of others. These days it’s hard to point to a legit action hero with the possible exceptions of The Rock (yeah he likes to go by Dwayne Johnson now… but he’ll always be “The Rock”) and maybe even more so, Jason Statham.

Death Race comes along, and obviously it’s a remake of the 1975 classic… and almost as obvious is that it’s a very lose remake. Not many people have been giving any buzz to this flick, including myself since despite the presence of Joan Allen, has looked cheap at best and an abomination at worst. So off we went to catch Death Race. Was it as bad as we thought it would be. Actually… no.

THE GENERAL IDEA

The synopsis for Death Race looks something like this: “In 2012, the United States economy collapses and life for everyone is not the same. Once a NASCAR champion, Jensen Ames, (Jason Statham), hits rock bottom and spent several years in prison. His life was improving and changing for the better after meeting and marrying Suzy (Janaya Stephens) and having a baby girl. Then the steel mill closes, and he loses his job. But that was not the worst thing to happen to Jenson that day. Suzy is brutally murdered, and he is framed for her murder. Jenson is sent to Terminal Island, the worst and toughest for-profit prison in the country run by Warden Hennessey (Joan Allen). She has created the country’s most popular pay-per-view sport, a kill-or-be-killed car race where the inmates race to win their freedom from prison after 5 wins. Every inmate driver is driving a monster car that they built which is loaded with machine guns, missiles, flamethrowers, napalm, and no rules. Warden Hennessey convinces Jensen to secretly take the place of the late 4-time superstar winner, Frankenstein, and wear his metallic mask in the race. If Jensen wins just one race, he can go home to his baby daughter. To get to the finish line, Jensen must kill his competition before they kill him.”

THE GOOD

One of the things I wasn’t expecting from this little flick were laughs, but surprisingly enough I caught myself giggling a bunch of time throughout the movie. Yes, most of the laughs came from the over the top visual violence… but there are a number of crisp one liners throughout that kept me engaged beyond just the crazy violence. Speaking of which…

I knew that if there was going to be any saving grace for Death Race it would have to come from sheer quantity and quality violence. My friends this movie nails it right on the head in this regard!!! The brutal weaponized car on car psycho violence was INSANE! The movie starts with a great action sequence and then just keeps delivering for the rest of the hour and a half run time. There were several spots where both Doug and I jumped out of our seats. It was good stuff.

One thing I don’t mention very often is sound design. Death Race had AMAZING sound design! The sound of the car races pulls you into the action almost as well as the visuals did. As a matter of fact, the last time I so clearly noticed sound design like this was when I watch the Pod Race scene in The Phantom Menace. It was killer.

THE BAD

Action and some giggles aside, this isn’t a very good movie. The plot and the set up are beyond stupid, the dialog throughout wasn’t the worst I’ve heard all year, but still quite poor. Whenever someone had to say anything beyond one line, it usually ended up making me cringe.

I swear, this movie was more of a “Shawshank Redemption” remake than it was a “Death Race” remake. Seriously, it had far more in common with Shawshank… to the point that I’ll call it out and proclaim it a pure rip off.

Lead Character
Shawshank - A man with a skill useful to the warden that is falsely accused of killing his wife
Death Race - A man with a skill useful to the warden that is falsely accused of killing his wife

Warden
Shawshank - Corrupt, quotes the bible, wants to keep hero in Jail selfishly
Death Race - Corrupt, quotes the bible, wants to keep hero in Jail selfishly

Best Friend
Shawshank - Understands the prison system, been in a long time, afraid to leave jail
Death Race - Understands the prison system, been in a long time, afraid to leave jail

The similarities go on and on. it was quite annoying actually.

OVERALL

A bad comedy can be saved if it at least makes people laugh. A bad horror can be saved if it at least creeps people out. And so to, a bad action movie can be saved if it’s exciting and fun to look at. Death Race, although a “bad” film, is ultimately saved because of its crazy and fun action. You walk out entertained despite the glaring weaknesses inherent in the other aspects of the film. I ended up liking it. Overall I give Death Race a 6.5 out of 10.

House bunny movie review

<!–

–>

House-Bunny-Review.jpgThanks for checking out our House Bunny Review. If you’d like to see a video version of our House Bunny review, you can see it at the bottom of our written version.

I’ve never understood the fascination some people have with Anna Faris. To me, while an attractive woman, she’s never been that “hot” or something I would day dream about. As far as her acting chops go, I’ve also never been that into her. I think her stuff in the Scary Movie franchise has been terrible and so has most of her other stuff (although I must admit her comedic pace in “Just Friends” was pretty damn funny and shows that she has potential).

So here comes The House Bunny. A comedy about a Playboy playmate with Anna in the lead… and as you’d guess she plays a dumb blonde with nice tits. Can you see where this is heading?

THE GENERAL IDEA

The synopsis for House Bunny looks something like this: “When Shelly, a Playboy bunny, is tossed out of the mansion, she has nowhere to go until she falls in with the sorority girls from Zeta Alpha Zeta. The members of the sorority - who also have got to be the seven most socially clueless women on the planet - are about to lose their house. They need a dose of what only the eternally bubbly Shelley can provide… but they will each learn on their own to stop pretending to be what others want them to be and start being themselves.”

THE GOOD

The one redeeming thing I’ll say about this film is that as it progresses, the charm of the story and the characters starts to capture you a little bit. As stupid and annoying and painfully unrealistic or believable as these characters are… they are sweet, and the more we’re exposed to them in the film, well, you can’t help but like them. Getting an audience to like your character can get you a LONG way.

Some people may criticize this movie for promoting a philosophy that you have to be sexy to be happy. Oddly enough I’ll defend the movie on this one point. To me, the message of the movie wasn’t that you have to look hot to have a life, but rather looking your best can give you confidence. Not looking THE best… but rather looking YOUR best. The fact of the matter is this is true. When YOU think you look your best, you do have more confidence, and it’s often your confidence that takes you places. Deep down this is the message I think certain parts of the movie were trying to convey, and I like how they did that. However…

THE BAD

No laughs. All the jokes can be seen coming from 4 miles away… and the ones that might have worked seemed to all be in the trailers, so those ones were spoiled for me. Oh there were a couple of grins here and there, but not much more beyond that.

While sweet and a bit charming, Faris’ character is just far too stupid, clueless and plain old dumb for me to root for her to any meaningful level. Here’s the thing… when the “bad lady” comes along and says Faris doesn’t belong on the University campus and that’s she’s a negative influence, you have to be able to disagree with her… but you don’t. The “bad lady” is 100% correct and I actually found myself taking her side. That’s not good.

Yes it’s a silly little innocent comedy, but at least PRETEND to give a little depth to your characters. There was absolutely nothing to these airheads. Even the “smart girls” were as dim as twigs.

And I’ve had enough of these extremely sexy young actresses who put on a pair of glasses and we’re supposed to believe they’re suddenly ugly outcasts… then suddenly they get a hair cut and contacts, and BOOM… they’re hot.

OVERALL

I hated this movie for much of it… but as it wore on the sweetness, innocence and charm of the characters wore on me enough that it stopped me from walking out. The film is annoying in parts, boring in many other, but had a few smiles here and there mixed in with a positive message. Not enough to make me like the movie, but enough to prevent me from hating it. Overall I give The House Bunny a 4.5 out of 10.

The Mirror movie review

Mirrors-Review
Thanks for checking out our Mirrors review.

The General Idea

Plot synopsis pilfered from IMDB: An ex-cop and his family are the target of an evil force that is using mirrors as a gateway into their home

The Good

The music was the best part of this film. I am no suspense/horror aficionado, but I am starting to learn how important a quality score is to the genre. The music set up so many “gotcha” moments very well and added an eerie air about the film. The score not only made this film better, but managed to make it work.

To match the moody music we have creepy visuals all over the place and of course the use or mirrors. Even when something crazy isn’t happening, you’re still searching the screen for every reflective surface possible, just to get some sort of leg up on where the next threat may come from. Using reflections as the enemy was a kick ass idea and really scared the hell out of me. I may be a horror lightweight, and take that into consideration; but I had the willies throughout the entire film.

There is a bathtub death scene in this film that was fucking grotesque and very graphic. I was surprised to see something like this in a suspense style film, and although I consider it something the film should be proud if, others may consider it the opposite.

The Bad

Within the realm of this story, you try to figure out what is happening, only to discover that no logic, cohesion or care is being paid to continuity or sense. In a film like this, you usually find out more as you go along, eventually putting all the pieces together. In this film, we are left in the dark in regards to the mirrors and their happenings. It is like we are given a bunch of puzzle pieces that never fit together. I wish I could be more descriptive - but I don’t want to give away spoilers.

The film ends in a twilight zone twist that was unnecessary, because it to made no sense. You are left asking why and how, and to the best of my ability - I could answer neither. I was hoping by the end all the frayed chaotic loose ends would somehow be stitched together, but sadly we are left with another unanswerable happening.

Overall

Despite the movie’s flaws I still jumped on a few occasions and actually yelled “what the fuck” at the screen once. As a story, Mirrors is not the best, but as an experience I was frightened and in that, it succeeded in what it set out to do. Out of 10, I would give mirrors a satisfactory mark of 6
